We are currently looking on behalf of our client, an independent family run funeral directorship based in Middlesex.
Responsibilities
This role is at the forefront of our business, assisting families at all times of the day and night, ensuring respect, care and consideration for both our clients and their loved ones. The successful candidate will have a full UK manually driving license, experience in dealing with clients/customers, a caring personality, be physically fit and of smart appearance.
Our normal working hours are 8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with paid overtime Transfer deceased into our care from a range of different locations.
Take an active part in out of hours collection rota (collecting deceased outside normal working hours) 1 week in four, additional fee will be paid.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of the deceased, this may be outside of normal working hours, additional fee will be paid.
Form part of the funeral service, bearing coffins and driving funeral ceremonial vehicles in a considerate and profession manner.
Carryout routine vehicles checks before using a company vehicles.
Receive delivers of coffins and other associated products.
Prepare and fit coffins/ caskets, ashes caskets, grave markers and to engrave name plates for the same.
Prepare the deceased into our care for both viewings and the funeral.
Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment and facilities, including our funeral fleet.
Assist in cleaning the workshop, mortuary, and garage areas as well as other areas as directed by the management.
