Funeral Plan Sales Consultant (Part-Time / Hybrid)
A meaningful, client-focused role within a regulated and compassionate environment
Our client, M.K. Ginder and Sons, are seeking a compassionate and professional Funeral Plan Sales Consultant to join their team on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week).
This role is particularly suited to experienced funeral professionals — such as funeral arrangers — who are looking to step away from frontline at-need work while remaining within the profession, or individuals seeking a flexible, purposeful role with reduced hours. It may also appeal to professionals with experience in sensitive, client-led environments where trust, clarity and professionalism are essential.
Rather than commission-led selling, this position focuses on providing clear information, supportive conversations and education, helping individuals and families understand pre-paid funeral plans and make informed choices at their own pace.
The Role
- Engage with prospective clients, responding to enquiries and holding structured, sensitive discussions regarding pre-paid funeral plans
- Provide clear and accurate explanations of available plan options, features and processes
- Support clients through their decision-making journey in a calm, respectful and non-pressured manner
- Build trusted, long-term relationships through professionalism, empathy and consistency
- Ensure all activity fully complies with funeral plan regulation, ethical standards and internal procedures
- Accurately complete documentation and maintain client records using CRM systems
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support wider awareness and understanding of funeral plans
- Contribute towards agreed company performance objectives, with bonus potential linked to overall business results
About You
- Experience in a client-facing role within the funeral profession, financial services, insurance, healthcare, or another sensitive environment
- Confident, clear communicator with a calm and empathetic manner
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust naturally
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload and diary
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical, compliant practice
- Basic IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
What’s on Offer
- Competitive pro-rata salary
- Bonus linked to company performance (non-commission based)
- Pension contributions and employee benefits
- Hybrid working and flexible hours
- A genuinely rewarding role within a values-led, family-run organisation
If you are seeking a purposeful, people-focused role where compassion and professionalism matter more than sales pressure, we would welcome a confidential conversation.
