Job Description

Location: Hayes Middlesex

Salary: £15 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday ( 25 hours per week)
  • Potential to work 1 Saturday every 3 weeks (9 AM – 12 PM, additional payment provided)

We are looking for an experienced and empathetic Funeral Arranger to join our well-established team. The role involves arranging funerals at our designated office and occasionally supporting neighbouring locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Funeral Arranging: Guide families through funeral arrangements with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.
  • Client Care: Offer practical and emotional support to visitors during branch visits.
  • Professional Standards: Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to confidentiality (GDPR compliance).
  • Coordination: Liaise with third-party agencies (e.g., cemeteries, crematoria, florists) to deliver funeral services that meet client needs.
  • Financial Handling: Process client payments (cash, cheque, and card) securely and accurately.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the company within the local community and promote funeral services.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Manage funeral management software (Eulogic), including data input, payment processing, invoicing, and records search.
    • Hold a detailed understanding of bereavement registration processes.
    • Maintain accurate client records and service details.
  • Social Media Management: Assist in managing the company’s social media platforms.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Funeral Arranger, preferably within an independent funeral directorship.
  • Proficient in Eulogic funeral management system (or similar).
  • Experience using social media platforms for business purposes.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, discreet, and professional when handling sensitive situations.
